Exchange Backup Part II
As stated before, Exchange
disaster recovery solutions are designed with the
Microsoft Exchange Server in mind. As with any type of
				backup program there
are of course advantages and disadvantages in utilizing and
implementing such specialized tools. Some of the advantages include:
reliability, dependability, and selectivity. Exchange backup
tools create a backup copy and restore the
emails on a Microsoft Exchange server should one be accidently be deleted. The
user will thus be able to view his/her deleted email upon
restoring, provided that the backup tool has created a backup
copy between the reception and deletion of the email. Exchange backup can be selective when utilizing
another type of technique called Bricklayer
or brick-level Exchange backup. With this tool a single email can be
restored from the system without requiring a dedicated server
and full restore of all Exchange databases.
USB backups have never been easier: Send your backup files to an external or internal drive, via FTP / FTPS, or to a network target and get your mailboxes backed up quickly. Full and live Windows backup can be achieved locally via delta compression, which also help when copying Hyper-V virtual machines.
