Backup Tool for Outlook 2013 / 2010 PST Files

To create a Microsoft Outlook (PST file) backup using BackupChain Backup Software, you simply select your Outlook data folder.

The Microsoft Outlook data folder location depends on the Windows and Outlook versions you are using.

The simplest way to backup Outlook and most other application data is to simply add C:\Users to your backup task. This will add Outlook data as well as My Documents and other files from other applications to the backup task.

Use a “General File Backup” type when you create the backup task and BackupChain will automatically enable deduplication, which dramatically reduces backup file sizes when you back up PST files regularly.

However if you only want to back up Outlook and only for one user on the PC, simply add the folders listed below:

The following examples below assume your system drive containing Windows is C:

Windows 8

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures
